Paper Beach to Supply River  – Sunday 26th July 2015

Just to break our normal routine, and to give people a chance to join us for a short and leisurely walk in a very picturesque location, this Sunday afternoon walk begins at the Paper Beach carpark and heads southwest around Supply Bay before swinging northwest to the Supply River bridge. From there, a further 800m will bring you to the ruins of the historic Supply River mill. See http://www.visitlauncestontamar.com.au/pages/supply-river-mill-reserve/ and http://cartledgechronicles.blogspot.com.au/2009/08/supply-river-mill.html for aspects of the mill's history. Total walk length is 5.4 km return. The walk is along flat, well formed tracks, although not rated as accessible for prams, strollers and wheelchairs. Th walk is suitable for families with young children who could turn back if the distance proved too much. There is plenty of room for children to play, and a further interesting location in Swan Point, less than a kilometre away in the same area.
This walk is rated "Family-easy". Being winter, normal precautions should be taken against cold and rain.
